Lee Gordon has been a professional photographer for over 20 years. Throughout his career, he has owned both photo studios and a fine art photographic gallery. Lee is currently commissioned for his visual point of view and his technical problem-solving abilities as an on location specialist. He draws from years of experience, producing photo-shoots with his crew for ad agencies, architects, graphic designers, interior designers, corporations, as well as hotel and resort clients.
Lee is a master at controlling light. He shapes it, warms it, cools it, sculpts it, adds some here and subtracts some there. The images that are recorded on his film are balanced to what your eye sees naturally - the lighting is often invisible, but it is always crafted, compelling and inviting.
He is well traveled and has seen and photographed many places, faces & spaces. Lee’s architectural and lifestyle photography jobs have taken him to exotic Caribbean locations and worldwide resort and hotel destinations. In and around the South Florida area, which is Lee’s home base, he has produced photo-shoots of many more architectural, resort, commercial and residential interior projects.
One of Lee’s signature styles is capturing the elusive “magic hour” on film. This pre-sunrise and/or dusk twilight produces a magical glowing cobalt blue sky when the shift of ambient light is balanced, crafted and timed perfectly. Lee’s work was highlighted in an article about him and his lighting techniques appropriately titled, “Lee Gordon’s Magic of Dusk,” as told to Jack Neubart, in the Technically Speaking section of PDN, Photo District News, an international magazine for the professional photography and advertising trades.
